The Hanser House is owned and operated by me, Juanita Hanser (Nita) or just Granny. Much of the help comes from my husband Herman, oldest daughter Geneva McKenzie, youngest son Heath Hanser a graduate of Wofford College, and my grandchildren; bringing together three generations. Another supporter of the restaurant is my son Henry, who owns Henry's Lawn & Landscaping. We have lived in the Pawleys Island area all our life and love it. Perhaps you may know me from our other family business, Henry's Minnows, which was located on the South Causeway in Pawleys Island for many years.
With over 55 years of combined experience in restaurant work, we have learned a lot about what the customer desires. So I decided to go after the dream of owning my own place. Therefore, our menu is written to hopefully please everyone. All of our food is cooked to order, which ensures freshness and your satisfaction. As you will see with. Our Menu, we try to provide the customer with a large selection of choices, ranging from traditional lightly breaded seafood, to delicious grilled and broiled. We sell choice aged beef, cut and trimmed in our own kitchen and cooked to your specifications. Our seafood is fresh from our neighboring Carolina waters. Our catch is off the boats in Murrells Inlet and our shrimp and oysters are hand selected in McClellanville. We have homemade soups, creole, casseroles and desserts. The taste of home cooking is what everyone loves and we take pride in it.
